In this short article we will learn about “What Does Enlightenment Feel Like” When I was young, I used to think that the moon used to follow our car. Enlightenment can be defined as knowing that there is no separate self. A sense of enlightenment is liberating.
Enlightenment can be compared to waking up from a night dream. When you become awake to your real self, your mind stops looking at emptiness, since there is no separate someone to look at!
Sometimes enlightenment is a destructive process in the sense that it may have you to stop believing in what you used to believe in. Some will say that enlightenment is like a big bulb shining in the dark. Below in this article are 5 ways of how enlightenment feels.
What Does Enlightenment Feel Like – 5 Truths Revealed
1). The Divine Comedy:
The spiritual awakening of enlightenment makes you feel like you are witnessing the funniest joke in life- it may seem like you are in a consumer party and everyone is playing up the role that he/she was dressed up for.
Just that their dressing comprises their personality- who they are, who they should not be, what they should do, and what they shouldn’t do.
I visited a hypnotist once, and in one of the sessions, he hypnotized a group of people making them feel like kindergarten kids. I laughed off seeing a group of adults being made to feel like they were children. Imagine a capable adult acting like a kid – that is the power of enlightenment.
One of the funny aspects of enlightenment is how our personality is made to believe in everything when the conscious mind knows it is all made up.
2). Seeing With Enlightened Eyes Is Funny:
When one is laughing at something funny, his/her internal dialogue is switched off. You stop analyzing things and you become illogical. You just directly perceive something and you start seeing the funny part of it. When you have a quiet mind, you start perceiving situations directly, and seeing their funny side, this is a key attribute of being in an enlightened state.
This explains why enlightened people tend to have a sense of humor and their too much laughing. A measure of their laughter, humor, and happiness shows how they clearly see the world. It’s extremely healthy as Napoleon Hill points out in his book The Law Of Success. Highly recommend reading that if you have not. It is life-changing, to say the least.
3). The Enlightened Mind Is Quiet:
What deters us from seeing the humor and the beauty of humanity is the fact that we perceive and interpret things through our minds. The mind will always add dialogue and descriptions of what we see. Our mind simply acts as a curtain between us and the world i.e. it acts as a judge. The moment you try interpreting a joke, it loses its funniness!
When one dissolves the dialogue in his/her mind and starts living in silence, he or she opens their eyes to see a very different world. Rather than seeing a world full of descriptions and interpretations. All this can be achieved by using conscious intelligence and not our mind.
4). Expressing Humility:
Most people may confuse humility and being less than other people and some may see humility as the opposite of arrogance. Humility is knowing that you are not more important than other people and at the same time knowing that no one is more important than you. Enlightenment drives a sense of humility in people.
Enlightenment makes people treat others with respect. It’s through direct perception we get to know that everyone is equal. As I stated earlier, enlightenment makes the mind quiet and we get to perceive people directly. Enlightened people having respect for you is very similar to you making your own decisions.
5). Expressing Love:
Happiness comes from expressing love to others. Enlightenment makes you get rid of self-importance and being judgmental within your mind.
Therefore, one spends less time feeling emotional and thinking, and one gets a chance to express love to others. This clearly shows that enlightened people are loved more by other people.
Enlightenment makes one not to be so serious with life but be like a child – a lesson that great masters are taught, especially when applying faith the correct way, that we tend to forget as we get conditioned by our environment.
With enlightenment, one will always seek enjoyment and pleasure and this leads to expressing love in everything that you do. Elevation of consciousness is a key to higher happiness.
Conclusion:
Enlightenment is the best thing that can happen to you. Indeed, if everyone all over the world was enlightened than the world would be at peace. Enlightened people are always loving and happy and they accept themselves the way they are- wow! (You’re a spiritual being living in a physical body).
Truth is I will never see the real you until the next life. They also accept and love other people the way they are. What stands between you and happiness is your mind. Learning to use your conscious intelligence – enlightenment, is a key to your happiness.
Enlightenment is a potential cure to 99% of world humanity relationship problems. An enlightened person does not measure success since there is zero failure!!

Hi Jamie,
You are so welcome. Feeling good in life is everything. How we feel really determines how we act, but also determines what we attract back to us through the law of attraction. It can be hard to stay positive, but if we continually focus on our dreams and live from the wish fulfilled we will accomplish all that we desire. Sending blessings your way!
Cheers,
AJ
I think I more likely to experience these feelings as a teenager. I think the modern society puts pressure on us to achieve financial success and we lose track of what is really important. I personally am putting my head down and working towards passive income so that I can then return to a free way of living. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Eco,
I agree they do put pressure on us to achieve success. I think it’s very important because the end goal for all of us is Freedom. It’s not the money, but the choices that we can make without restrictions or feeling like we have limits. I love that your working towards passive income, I think that’s smart and life-changing for sure. Thanks for reading and I hope you have an excellent week.
Cheers,
AJ
