How To Be The Best At What You Do!

How To Be The Best At What You Do!

Today I would like to go over a few different ways on how to be the best at what you do. A lot of people can be great at many things. But to be the best at what you do, from what I’ve heard requires over 10,000 hours. What is it that you really want to be the best at? I’d love to know your comments below.

Being the best at something will require time it’s not instant. But it can be a lot quicker if you’re naturally good at it. If you take the time to think about what you naturally pick up on, and that you love, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

For me, math has never been one of my strong suits but I outsource all that to other people and that’s not a bad thing.  If you’re good at one thing and can make a lot of money from it then you’ll be able to use your extra money to outsource all your other weaknesses. It’s a very powerful concept to understand. With that being stated let’s begin.

How To Be The Best At What You Do:

1. Love What You Want To Be The Best At:

To be the best at what you do I would highly highly recommend it it’s something that you love. You will never be the best at something that you do not enjoy.

The reason that is is that when you love what you do, you essentially tap into your subconscious mind where all the information exists in the universe and you’re able to draw from that, it’s pretty crazy to think about.

I see so many people chase money in this world, and yet they hate what they’re doing but at the end of the day they say to themselves “I’m making a lot of money”. That’s like being in prison every day just to satisfy your ego. I mean what a stupid thing to do.

One thing to keep in mind is if it’s something that you have to do to survive, forcing yourself to love it so that you can provide for your family is essentially a very powerful principle. What I mean by this is let’s say that you work a job that you get paid based on performance with a salary on top.

Let’s say you hate that job but you know that if you do well, you’ll get paid more and at the same time be able to provide for your family. In that case, I would definitely learn to love what you do because it’s going to tie in with your family and give them a better lifestyle.

I hope that makes sense. Use common sense when it comes to being the best at what you do if it ties in with survival. Remember also, to make the changes needed to doing what you love, because life is not a practice run, this is the real deal!

2. Get As Much Education In Your Endeavor As Possible:

Get all the education and knowledge you can about your field of expertise. When I stated that it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something that is true for many individuals who have become excellent at something.

If you’re into the NFL, Tom Brady is a great example of that. He’s like the Michael Jordan of the NBA. He has set a standard for the NFL now.

But the way that he got there is he delved into all the training and all learned from all his mistakes and learned from all sorts of different people that were successful before him. He then applied that on the field consistently over time. Top CEOs in the world read over 60 books a year.

If you think about that, the average person only reads one book a year and you wonder why there’s such a big difference in the pay gap. Knowledge is power if executed.  So absorb as much info as you can about your field of expertise. I’m talking go all in and read everything on it. Do you more than anybody else has in regards to absorbing the correct information.

3. Know That You Are More Than Capable:

Understand that you are more than capable at being the best. If your desire is strong enough, in such a way that you’re almost obsessed about it you will do well. Tesla has had many failures, but

Musk has overcome those failures and continues to press forward. If he had given up he would not be where he is at today which is currently the richest person in the world.

Also understand that you are a spiritual being living in a physical body. That means that you are literally a son or daughter of God. And with that comes infinite potential.

So when working towards being the best at whatever it is that you want to be the best at remembering who you truly are because that will give you the extra motivation needed to keep going when things get tough.

4. Practice, Practice, Practice:

You need to practice as much as you can in whatever endeavor you’re looking to develop yourself in, to be the top person in that industry. Michael Jordan wasn’t just the best because he thought he was going to be the best. He was the best because he practiced consistently his skills, and at the same time had the mindset I am the best.

Any person who has accomplished anything great has paid the price. Like I mentioned earlier to be an expert at something you have to put in at least 10,000 hours.

That’s a lot of work and most people don’t see all that work they just see the top part of success and that’s it. But beneath all of that is a story of struggle hardships and difficulties along the way.

Many people experience setbacks but they continue to press forward and practice their craft they continue to get better and better. So remember if you truly want to be the best at whatever it is that you want to do you’ve got to put in the time and practice your skills that continually every single day.

5. Be Confident:

Be confident when pursuing your dream or ambition. Confidence is developed through understanding or knowledge and then experience. If you want to be truly confident you have to gain the knowledge necessary in your field to become the best.

Like I said you have to absorb as much information as possible. And then you have to execute that information consistently over a period of time.

Confidence comes from also understanding who you truly are. You are not your physical body that’s simply the instrument that you live in. You are more than capable of achieving all your desires.

Be patient as you’re moving forward because it’s not going to happen instantly. Any successful person has had to go through some difficult times that would make most people want to give up because they have a bad self-image of themselves. Remember you can be the best at whatever it is that you want to do.

Wrapping Up:

Being the best at something seems to not happen to very many people. Anybody can be the best at something, the question is how bad do you really want to be the best?

Are you willing to spend countless hours needed to craft your skill? Are you willing to pay the price to obtain the success that you desire? Are you willing to study and understand yourself better and what you’re capable of? If you’re willing to put in the time necessary to be successful, and willing to make sacrifices, and be patient you will find that you’ve made it to the top of the mountain.

Keep this in mind as you press forward. Your self image is a direct correlation of the actions you will take in your life. If you’re not successful at this point it is only the self-image that needs to be changed with consistent daily actions of the pursuit of that goal.

To change your self image I highly recommend reading my article on the subject. The mind is the most powerful tool we have, and yet most people neglected it. 1. Really great tips Alex! Mindset, lack of confidence and lack of a plan are things that kill dreams in infancy. Many people need to believe in themselves first regarding whatever they choose to be the best at. The really inspirational video of Bo Eason is a testament to that. He imagined it, believed it, made a plan and executed the plan tirelessly. Those are very powerful ingredients to being successful.
    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Very interesting and true. The mind is powerful. and I am learning to use it better, focusing on positive thoughts and not to so much on negative thoughts, but it’s a learning process.
“The body is simply the instrument that we live in”. Yes, I think that we all forget that we are spirital beings in a body , I often forget it too when daily life takes over and overwhelms me.
    Very inspirational text!
