In this article, we will be going over ten tips on being more productive in life. When you understand how to be more productive and all you do, your success will be much easier to attain.
Achieving your goals will be a thing of the past; it will be so simple for you. Many successful people are highly productive people, and because of that, they get great results.
Make sure to apply the tips below, and if you know of any other tips that I have listed, feel free to comment and let me know.
10 Tips On How To Be More Productive In Life:
1). Have Specific Objectives:
It would help if you had a purpose that you’re working towards to be productive. Many highly successful people have small goals that they work towards but, at the same time, are working towards a huge vision or their life calling.
Everything you do in life should be towards this vision, but in the meantime, all the steps that you take to get to that vision should be goals or certain tasks that need to be accomplished every day.
The other advantage of having specific objectives is you work harder naturally. Human beings like to work towards things. It gives them a sense of purpose.
Why not give yourself a sense of purpose instead of just playing the game of life. Play the game of a successful individual and not just some average Joe. Separate yourself from the pack, really identify yourself as a person that achieves great things like Jeff Bezos. He is no more special than you are………Unless YOU THINK THAT, then it must be so because thought is everything!
2). Ensure A Little Balance:
By ensuring a little balance, you always have time for your family and friends. Achieving success or any goal in life requires lots of hours.
But you cannot exclude everything else. You should set up a schedule each day or have time for your family and your children.
Set your schedule up in 15-minute blocks; that’s what I do, and it’s made a world of difference for me. Also, keep in mind when I say lots of hours, you should love what you do.
If it’s starting to feel like working hard to be productive and achieve the goals, you’re on the wrong track. Make sure you love what you do. Make sure your mission in life is something you’re obsessed with.
3). Set A Time Limit:
Have a time limit for you to achieve your goals. That does not necessarily mean that they will be accomplished at that time, but what it does is it gives you a sense of urgency, and you naturally work harder and are more focused towards that end.
I always have time goals every day. I will set my schedule from 9 to 10, 10 to 11, 11 to 12, and so forth. I try to accomplish as much as I can and 15-minute blocks within each hour.
Doing so has allowed me to actually be more productive with less stress and more energy because I’m giving myself a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
4). Avoid Multi-Tasking:
you can multitask, but it’s easier if you focus on one thing at a time. When working towards a deadline or a goal of some sort, make sure that all your devices are off.
Don’t focus on other things except for the task at hand. When you start focusing on other things when you’re working towards a goal, it will never be good.
Now multitasking you can do if it’s going to help you get to that goal sooner within the allotted amount of time you’ve given yourself.
When working towards objectives, you need to have a clean desk or a clean space. If you’ve got papers all over a couple of cups on your desk, phone hear a tablet there, you naturally feel messier inside mentally.
By getting rid of all this stuff and having a clean desk or a clean work area, you will actually begin to think; clearly, you will feel better about yourself, and your work will naturally turn out better than doing it the other way with crap on your desk.
Test this out for yourself; clean your work area today, spray it down with whatever you want, and then begin to work. It’s the weirdest feeling, but you will actually feel better about yourself, and you’ll have more energy as you work. If you don’t feel like that comment below, I would be shocked.
6). Do Things At Certain Times Of The Day:
What do you need to keep in mind with this is something that you can only determine for yourself. Everybody has an energy clock built-in within them, and it goes off at a certain point every day.
For me, I noticed that my highest level of enthusiasm and energy is between 3:30 PM to 5 PM; at that time, that’s when I will do a lot of my hard tasks but also allows me to do a lot of my analytical tasks that need to be taken care of.
As you go about your days in a couple of weeks ahead, please pay attention to when your energy is the highest and make a note of that and notice how long it lasts.
Do this for one week, and you’ll get an idea of when your energy is really high, and those are the times that you can start to do complicated tasks that need your attention more fully.
7). Give Yourself Small Rewards:
When you complete a task, give yourself rewards. For example, let’s say at the end of the day, you accomplished six different things that were pretty difficult.
Go towards yourself with ice cream or a good meal. This helps you to stay motivated, but it’s also good for your mental health.
By rewarding yourself, you actually pecan to sync the two with positive behavior. I’m doing this repeatedly; you will naturally become more motivated to work harder at your own tasks.
Because subconsciously, you’re telling yourself, I’m going to reward myself after doing this, and it feels good. And your subconscious mind will respond with more enthusiasm, more energy, and more creative ways to accomplish your goals.
8). Know What To Suffer For:
I mean by this is know the price you have to pay to achieve your goals. Some goals will require a lot of sacrifices, and other goals will not require as much sacrifice.
But understand that the more you sacrifice, the more your reward will be in the end. Nature is hilarious because it always seems you have to pay the price before you get what you want.
So we’re going about setting goals to keep in mind that you will have to pay the price, and if you think that price is going to be big, you better set yourself a pretty big goal to stay motivated.
9). Take Breaks:
It would help if you learned when to take breaks. For me, when I noticed that I’m getting agitated or frustrated with what’s going on, I’ll stop what I’m doing and focus on something else for a while; that’s fine.
If you’re working and your mind is agitated, and you’re feeling annoyed, the stuff you’re doing will become very unproductive.
If you want good work quality in your life, especially if you’re in sales or an executive, you need to learn to keep your mind straight, and that sometimes requires breaks.
I know you’ve probably heard work real hard and push through it and keep going. But honestly, that’s a Lotta crap if you can’t keep your head right and positive.
You have to learn to always think from within, and you always have to learn how to feel relaxed no matter what’s going on on the outside. By allowing yourself to take breaks, it helps you to stay focused on within instead of all the troubles that are going on on the outside of you.
10). Work Out:
People who work out in life feel so much better about themselves. It’s perfect for your body when you’re working out, but it also helps you to feel happier, especially when you’re doing hard tasks.
If you can keep your weight under control, your energy level will be a lot better, but especially when you’re working out, your body will begin to respond more positively to everything you do every day.
Working out at first can be very difficult, so you have to get in the habit of doing it. I found it best to start with five minutes of working out at first and then move up a minute at a time each day.
Before you know it, you’ll be working out for an hour, and it’ll be no problem for you. I choose to work out at home because it saves me time and allows me to be in my own space that I’m more comfortable with that may be beneficial for you, so keep that in mind.
Being productive in life is very easy when you have something to work towards. I’m not just talking goals. I’m talking about working towards an ultimate vision that you have set up for yourself.
Life is all about purpose; it’s about growth; it’s about becoming a better version of you. Always have goals to work towards each day but always be working toward your ultimate calling in life.
You are the only person who can figure out what that is, but the sooner you figure that out, the happier you will be in life, and the more productive you will become because you’re working towards it.
