It simply means to act as if you already own what you want or you are the person you want to be. When you act as if, you increase your potential of attaining your set goals in your life, allowing you to feel more accomplished. You end up becoming more driven towards your goals with each passing day sounding and FEELING like a winner.
Acting as if is living your dreams before materializing them into your reality. This may sound crazy and unrealistic but in today’s world, there is nothing that is impossible if you understand Universal Laws, especially those of the mind (Subconscious Mind).
Even the word impossible can be broken down to “I’M POSSIBILE”. Acting as if can also be termed as the law of attraction where all that happens to us is from what we attract on a subconscious emotional level. So if you are a negative and pessimistic person, you WILL attract negativity in your life.
You may be asking yourself how this is even possible but I believe that the list below will serve as your own personal guideline on how to act as if.
7 Steps On How To Act As If:
Step 1: Relax Your Mind:
During this phase, compose all of your thoughts into one whole idea and relax your mind. Take your time to process every emotion and FEELING that goes through your mind and identify your innermost desires. You can do this through meditation or taking a stroll and think everything through for nature lovers like me.
Step 2: Pick What You Want To Work On And Be:
Your self – confidence plays a vital role in this part. Remember you are a Spiritual Being living in a physical body. You really can do anything you put your mind to. You have infinite potential. Know one on the planet knows what you are capable of. If you can think it………..you can do it.
You should be able to identify both of your short term and long term goals and where exactly you stand. Any negativity in your life should also be erased at this point giving yourself the confidence you require for your next task.
In other words, don’t focus on the problems, you should also omit any self-doubt that you may have and its triggers too. It is wise to keep an open mind at all times, but negative energy should always be blocked from your life. Remember like attracts like.
Step 3: Visualize And Dream Of Your Dreams:
After identifying your dreams in step 3, it’s wide enough for you to write your script in the present tense and visualize your dream. You should also rewrite this script over and over and over again to ingrain it in your subconscious mind. In the present tense means “I am so happy and grateful now that…………” and you write out your life exactly how you want it to be in every area. I prefer to focus on one area at a time, a little easier that way for me, but you can do all areas :).
Step 4: Write It All Down In Gratitude:
This step should become part of your regime for the next few days. For this part, write everything you are grateful for in your life. Whether it’s that new dress you got for your birthday or its just the fact that you woke up healthy, write it down.
Don’t forget to mention your dream. Be grateful that it has been achieved and that it was so easy to do. These notes you keep taking will be a pleasant memory to keep coming back to when you are feeling down or just not in alignment with the Universe. Do not take anything for granted. You never know how much time is left in your life, so be grateful for each day.
Step 5: Perceive Your Dreams:
Ever heard of the saying, what you perceive you shall receive? this is where it becomes the most applicable. Learn to become a positive person in life.
FEEL each and every emotion that will come with achieving your dreams. Don’t make massively extensive, but just imagine how good it would be walking down the runway as the crowned Miss Universe 2020 or whatever. Soak it all in and enjoy the moment.
Remember you FEELING your dreams as accomplished now is what will determine what you attract back to you in your life through the Law Of Attraction.
The FEELING is everything, especially when it comes to working with your subconscious mind and your paradigms. SO FEEL SUCCESSFUL RIGHT NOW, REALLY TAKE IT IN, GET EXCITED. Do whatever you have to do to generate those feelings and stay in that vibration as much as you can.
Step 6: Acknowledge How Far You Have Come:
Up to this point, I expect that your level of self-confidence is through the roof. Well, this is just the beginning. Appreciate how far you have come along in life and don’t forget to appreciate yourself because you are so damn special. Your incredible, and there is not a single person on this planet that is like you.
So own that 100% and let your light shine to the world. Love yourself for who you are and who you have become. You deserve every good thing that will come your way and this should just push you to greater heights. Look at the progress you are making in your life, and keep focusing on that. As long as you are moving forward towards your dreams, you are successful. That is how the great Earl Nightingale put it.
Step 7: Work On Your Dreams, Leave The Rest To The Universe:
Put all of your worries aside in this final step and let bygones be bygones. Come up with a strategic plan on how you will work on attaining your goals and stick by it.
As the law of attraction states, we only attract what we are and feel inside, leave everything to the universe and let all the good come your way.
Strive to achieve your goals but do not forget to relax and let the universe take care of everything for you. All in all, do not let your emotions cloud your judgment in case things do not end up working out for you as you want them to. Life has a funny way of helping you with your dreams.
